About Us

History
Mike & Margo Baehl started Mike’s Oilfield Services Ltd. in 1979 with one pressure truck.  Mike guaranteed commitment to quality and competitive service.  The company has experienced steady growth since year one and now employs over 35 full time employees.

In 1990, Alan Cayford was hired as a truck driver.  From there, Alan moved into the front office as operations manager and partner to Mike & Margo.  Alan was bought out by Mike in 2007.

In November of 2011, Mike’s Oilfield Services Ltd. restructured.  Lonny & Shane Baehl (son’s) began buying out Mike’s shares.  The second generation will now carry on with the same level of quality service and commitment to the 4 western provinces.

Today, Mike’s Oilfield Services Ltd. has a fleet of trucks that includes 7 pressure trucks, 5 foam truck units and 2 air units.  In addition, Mike’s has 2 potable water trucks for fresh drinking water, 9 tank trucks (4 with pups), 3 tridem trailers and 1 tandem trailer.  At present, Mike’s employs approximately 35 full time employees.  The field staff keeps current with up to date tickets in WHMIS, H2S ALIVE, FIRST AID, TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods).

One of the more popular items that are kept in inventory here in Lloydminster’s head office is Mike’s Deicing Fluid.
